JDM Honda Edix MMC

The innovative Honda Edix offers a stylish, easy to drive and versatile package with the new unique 3 X 2 seating style (3 seats in 2 rows) capable of seating 6 persons. The Edix comes with 2 major engine choices : the 130ps SOHC VTEC D17A from the just replaced ES Honda Civic, and the 2.0l DOHC i-VTEC K20A delivering 156ps. Only automatic transmissions are offered, in both 4-speed and 5-speed format. Honda has launched an MMC for the Edix last month, offering minor updates in design plus improved levels of equipment. This MMC is offered as a new 'S-Package' trim-level for the JDM Edix. The 2.0l Edix (20X FF and 20X 4WD) now comes with the S-Package as a standard option while the 1.7l Edix (1.7X FF and 1.7X 4WD) offers the S-Package as a manufacturer option. Details of this new Edix S-Package are as follows:

  • Xenon (HID) headlights with both high and low beam, with automatic leveling mechanism
  • front fog lights
  • Colour-coded tail gate spoiler
  • Leather steering wheel

In addition, the HONDA smart key system is now a manufacturer option for all types. Two new exterior colours have been added.

Honda expects to sell 1,500 units of the Edix per month in the JDM.
